Project members can use discussions to communicate ideas and make decisions. A discussion can be used as a mailing list, a bulletin board or an online forum.
The Discussions tool works as a bulletin board and a mailing list rolled into one. Project members can post new messages, add attachments, reply to existing messages, and read messages from other project membersl, either by email or on the Web.
On the Discussions page for the current project, you can see all the discussions associated with the project. You can subscribe to a discussion, look in on a discussion, or add a new discussion if you have the proper permissions in the project.
Note: The Discussions tool allows members of a project to communicate without transmitting any sensitive information over email. Using the secure messaging option, you can prevent people outside the project from viewing confidential email. To do this, you must make the discussion a moderated one and restrict anonymous guests from posting messages.
