Searching for specific types of information

Each of the tools provided by CollabNet keeps its own kind of data. If you know what kind of data you are looking for, you can search only for that kind of data withough having to wade through results that don't matter to you.

Suppose someone on your project sent out a document some weeks ago as an attachment to an email. You want to look at that document again. Follow these steps:

  1. On the Advanced search page, in the Scope field, select your project.
  2. In the Project tools to search field, select Discussions.
  3. Hit Search.

The search results contain only the discussions messages from your project with the keywords you entered.

Note: In the Project tools to search field, you can select more than one tool at a time.
