Creating a discussion

You can create a new discussion on any topic that needs to be discussed by project members.

To add a new discussion, follow these steps:

  1. On the Project Home page, click Discussions in the left navigation pane.
  2. Click Add New Discussion.

    Note: You must have Discussions - Discussion Add permission on this project site.

  3. On the Add New Discussion page, set your preferences for the new discussion. For example, you can allow users to receive and send messages by email.
  4. Click Add Discussion. The system creates a new discussion, with you as the only subscriber.
  5. Add project members to the discussion. Anyone subscribed to the discussion is notified by email.
  6. Assign one or more moderators for the discussion.

    Note:To make yourself the sole moderator, leave the Moderator field blank.
